Alex Villard  (b. 1992, Jalisco, Mexico) is a Multimedia artist based in Vienna, Austria.
Since a joung age has been involved in productions, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Pan- American Games in Guadalajara in 2011.

His artistic journey continued as he delved into projection mapping for theater productions such as Amadeus and Peer Gynt, as well as captivating performances with the Jalisco Ballet, including The Nutcracker, Christmas Dream, and Russian Ballet. As well as a music career under the name “Alzz” in which had the opportunity to perform in different festivals as well as opening for international artist.

 

Through these experiences, Alex gained valuable expertise in animation, film production, sound design, music production and interactive design.

In 2021, fueled by a desire for growth and exploration, he embarked on a new chapter by resuming his studies at the University of Arts Linz in Austria (Kunst Uni Linz in the mix with Angewandte University). Currently pursuing a degree in “Time Based and Interactive Media Art”.

 

Alex is actively experimenting with cutting-edge technologies like virtual reality, real time generative visuals and integrating interactivity into  personal projects and performative works. Allowing him to take part in events in Austria such as the ARS Electronica Festival (Linz), Juvenile (Salzburg) and others.
